Hydro jetting that scours the pipe clean.
When snaking isn’t enough, hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to scour the inside of the pipe clean, so the clog stays gone longer.
For the stubborn buildup
Why hydro jetting outlasts snaking.
A drain snake punches a hole through a clog, which gets water moving again, but it leaves the buildup on the pipe walls. That’s why some drains clog again so soon, the snake cleared the blockage but not the cause. Hydro jetting is different: it uses high-pressure water to scour the entire inside of the pipe, removing grease, scale, and debris from the walls so the line is genuinely clean.
That makes it the right tool for heavy or recurring buildup, kitchen lines packed with grease, older pipes coated with years of scale, and sewer lines with root intrusion. After jetting, the pipe is back closer to its full diameter, so flow is better and the next clog is a lot further off.
We don’t jet every drain, a simple clog usually just needs clearing. But when a camera shows heavy buildup or you’re clearing the same line over and over, jetting is the fix that actually solves it. We’ll tell you honestly when it’s worth it and when it isn’t.

What’s included
What hydro jetting covers.
- Heavy grease removal. Kitchen lines packed with grease, scoured back to clean.
- Scale and buildup. Years of mineral scale cleared from older pipe walls.
- Root intrusion. Roots that have entered a sewer line cut and flushed out.
- Recurring clog fix. For drains that keep backing up, jetting addresses the cause, not just the symptom.
- Camera-guided. We often camera the line first so we jet what actually needs it.
- Honest recommendation. We only jet when it’ll genuinely help, not as a default.
When to call us
Hydro jetting is the right call if:
- A drain keeps clogging no matter how often you clear it
- A kitchen line is packed with grease
- An older line is coated with scale
- A camera found roots in the sewer line
- Snaking only fixes the problem for a short time
- You want the line genuinely clean, not just open
If snaking the same drain has become a routine, jetting is usually what breaks the cycle. It costs more once but saves you the repeat visits.
The way we work
We jet when it’ll actually help.
Jetting is powerful but it isn’t always needed. We’ll camera the line, tell you honestly whether jetting is worth it, and give you a clear price before we start.

Oahu specifics
Grease, scale, and roots on Oahu lines.
Kitchen lines and older drains are the most common candidates for jetting here. Grease builds up steadily in a kitchen line until snaking barely helps, and older homes accumulate scale on the inside of their pipes over decades. Jetting clears both back to clean, which is why it lasts so much longer than a snake on those lines.
Sewer lines with root intrusion are the other big one. Roots find their way into a line through small cracks and grow until they block flow, and jetting cuts and flushes them out. We usually run a camera first so we know exactly what we’re dealing with and whether jetting solves it or whether the line needs repair, which our sewer line repair service handles. We’ll tell you straight either way.

What working with us looks like
Straightforward, start to finish.
The first thing we do on any hydro jetting job is figure out what’s actually going on. We look at the real problem instead of guessing, and we explain what we find in plain language, no jargon, no scare tactics. You’ll know what’s wrong and what your options are before anything else happens.
Then you get a clear price. The number we quote is the number you pay, which is the whole reason John started Shoreline back in 2019 after watching another company do it the wrong way. A licensed plumber does the work, keeps you posted along the way, and cleans up the area before leaving. We finish by checking that everything runs the way it should.
None of that changes with the size of the job. A small hydro jetting call and a big one get the same honest diagnosis, the same clear price, and the same crew that takes pride in the work and leaves your place clean. We would rather do it right and earn the next call than rush it and lose your trust, because the reviews our customers leave are the only advertising we really count on.
That approach is why so many of our customers call us back and ask for our crew by name. If you’ve got a hydro jetting question or you’re ready to get on the schedule, reach out through our contact page or call (808) 445-3585. We answer, and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Questions, answered straight
Frequently asked questions
How is hydro jetting different from snaking?
A snake punches through a clog; jetting scours the whole inside of the pipe with high-pressure water. Jetting removes the buildup that causes the clog, so it stays clear much longer.
Is hydro jetting safe for my pipes?
For pipes in good condition, yes. That’s why we often camera the line first, to confirm the pipe can take it and target the jetting. If a line is too damaged, we’ll tell you.
Will it get rid of roots?
Yes, jetting cuts and flushes root intrusion out of a sewer line. If the roots got in through a damaged section, we’ll also tell you whether that section needs repair.
Do I need jetting or just a regular cleaning?
A simple clog usually just needs clearing. Jetting is for heavy buildup or recurring clogs. We’ll look at the line and recommend honestly, not default to the pricier option.
How long does jetting last?
Much longer than snaking, because the pipe is actually clean, not just open. With a kitchen line, good habits afterward keep it clear even longer.
Are you licensed?
Yes, Hawaii plumbing contractor license #37423. Drain and sewer work is done properly and we stand behind it.
